If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC and fulfil your potential. Whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or simply take you in an exciting new direction, HSBC offers opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of Senior Business Analyst (Funds & Trustee Services business domain).

This role sits within Funds & Trustee Services, Global Product Delivery (GPD). Funds & Trustee Services is a global team within Securities Services responsible for the development and delivery of products within the Funds and Trustee value stream. Global Product Delivery supports the solutioning, implementation and rollout of new product features, releases and system migrations, and client onboarding, in line with the SSv strategy.

The Senior Business Analyst owns analysis activities end-to-end for assigned initiatives, shaping solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes and client value, while operating within strong governance, risk alignment and transparent reporting aligned to the Change Management Framework. The role holder may work across one or more projects, programmes or value streams simultaneously, and may be based in a project environment or an established BAU team.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • End-to-end analysis and delivery support: Lead end-to-end requirements and process analysis, producing clear, traceable documentation aligned to business outcomes and client journeys.
  • Deliverable management and prioritisation: Own a defined set of deliverables, supporting prioritisation with impact analysis and proactively managing dependencies, risks and escalations.
  • Change delivery and implementation: Support cross-functional change delivery through planning, tracking, stakeholder engagement, readiness, rollout and post-implementation review.
  • Client onboarding and channel/product enablement: Coordinate and track client onboarding and readiness across channels/products, managing dependencies to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery.
  • Stakeholder management and communication: Build strong stakeholder partnerships, facilitate decision-making workshops, communicate trade-offs, and support the Product Owner with roadmap/backlog planning.
  • Governance, risk and control alignment: Ensure delivery aligns to change/risk frameworks, maintaining audit-ready documentation and escalating issues to manage risk exposure.
  • Continuous improvement and technical practices (where applicable): Drive continuous improvement in BA ways of working and contribute to Agile practices where relevant.

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Proven ability to capture, analyse and document business requirements, translating needs into clear business and functional requirements, supported by strong analytical capability interpreting complex/large datasets into meaningful insights in business language and present to stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, building effective working relationships (including clients/third parties where relevant), with transaction management experience coordinating end-to-end execution and issue resolution across stakeholders especially in the securities services business domain.
  • Asset servicing experience with deep domain knowledge across funds or custody operations, clearing, settlements and the corporate action lifecycle, alongside a finance background and core production experience (operational readiness, production controls, and stability in live environments).
  • Experience contributing to change delivery, including timeline planning, progress tracking with Agile delivery experience and proficiency in project management tools.
  • Experience supporting Product Ownership activities: contributing to product roadmap evolution, creation of epics/user stories, and managing the product backlog.
