Job Description
The Project Manager will oversee commercial renovation and ground-up construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. This role manages client relationships, project teams, schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and overall project profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from planning through completion.
- Prepare project estimates, budgets, schedules, and pay applications.
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
- Manage project scope, costs, schedules, and change orders.
- Select and manage subcontractors and review their pay applications.
- Prepare change order proposals and material invoices.
- Work closely with the Project Superintendent on scopes, schedules, and site logistics.
- Provide regular project updates and maintain strong client relationships.
- Monitor project performance, quality, safety, and profitability.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction, preferably with a General Contractor.
- Strong experience with construction estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
- Knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and safety/quality standards.
- Experience managing multiple projects and teams of various sizes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems and handle changing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
- Strong client-service mindset and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
