Full description

AI is being run everywhere, by humans and agents. Harmonic Security governs all of it. The AI Governance and Control (AIGC) platform understands user / agent intent and data context in real time, giving security teams visibility and control across every tool and workflow so companies can move faster with AI while minimizing risk.

We operate in one of the fastest-moving spaces in tech: the emerging intersection of AI and cybersecurity. It's a market still being defined, and we're among the first to build natively for it - protecting sensitive data in real time, at the endpoint, with minimal friction for the teams using it. Enterprises get full visibility and control. Their people get to innovate without guardrails slowing them down.

Named to the Rising in Cyber 2026 list, Harmonic is gaining serious recognition and serious traction. We're led by deep cybersecurity expertise and backed by investors who know the space: N47, Ten Eleven Ventures, and In-Q-Tel.

As AI adoption inside the enterprise accelerates, the ability to safely observe, control, and enforce policy in real time isn't a nice-to-have. It's mission-critical infrastructure. That's what we build.

How We Work: AI-First by Design

Harmonic exists to help enterprises adopt AI safely and at scale. We hold ourselves to that same standard. Everyone here actively leverages AI tools to perform their best work, from deep research and writing to building robust processes and automating complex workflows. We expect every new hire to bring a genuine curiosity for AI and a commitment to using it to work smarter, faster, and with greater creativity.

For some, this involves tinkering and remaining open to emerging tools; for others, it means architecting entirely new systems with AI at the core. We will be transparent about expectations for every role and provide the tools and support needed for you to thrive.

The Role

We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to take full ownership of a product area focusing on AI Surfaces - the ever-evolving set of places, tools and apps where AI governance has to operate. This is a broad, high-leverage part of what Harmonic builds and sells. You'll be the person who decides which outcomes matter most, in what order we go after them, and be accountable for the value delivered to our customers and our business.

This isn't a role where the strategy arrives fully formed and your job is to deliver it. The market we operate in is changing week to week, and often in ways nobody predicted. A large part of this role is forming a view on where it's heading before all of the evidence is conclusive, committing to that view strongly enough that the team can act on it, and adapting your view when things inevitably change.

What You'll Do

  • Owning a product area end to end, from deciding where it should go over the coming year to the detail of what ships next, and being able to explain and defend the reasoning behind both.
  • Building and holding a point of view on where your part of the market is going, grounded in what you're hearing from customers, what competitors are doing and how the technology itself is moving.
  • Deciding which outcomes in your area deserve investment and in what order, and setting out clearly what success looks like so that we can tell honestly when something is or isn’t working.
  • Spending a real share of your time with existing customers and prospects, on sales calls, in proof-of-value engagements, being comfortable leading those conversations with different types of people such as CISOs, CIOs and the people who work for them.
  • Collaborating closely across the business, particularly with engineering, design, sales, customer success, so that you can influence decisions well beyond your own team without needing formal authority to do it.
  • Getting hands-on at the solution level, whether that means exploring an API, pulling and interrogating data yourself, or testing an idea yourself before committing engineering time to it.
  • Raising the bar for how product work gets done here, so that the way you frame problems, write things down and make decisions becomes something other people start borrowing.

What You'll Bring

You've owned something substantial before, a product area or a connected set of problems where you set the direction rather than inheriting it. You'll also have strong conviction, because in a market moving this quickly, waiting for certainty often means arriving late. We need someone who is willing to say where they think things are going and stand behind it, while being honest enough with themselves to change course when the evidence tells them otherwise. We would much rather hear a clear view that turns out to be wrong than an overly careful one that rarely commits to anything.

You're also energised by the reality of a startup, where priorities shift, information is incomplete and a lot of what you'll need doesn't exist yet, which means you'll often be building the product and the way of working around it at the same time. If that sounds like a frustration rather than the appeal, this probably isn't the right role for you.

Nice to have

  • Experience in B2B, particularly selling to and working with large enterprises.
  • A background in security, data protection or a related field. This isn't a requirement, because we care far more about how quickly you can get to grips with a domain than whether you already know this one.
  • Experience with products that are enabled via an endpoint agent.
  • You live and breathe AI trends and latest developments to apply it directly in your role
