About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer – DevOps / CloudOps to help build, automate, and operate reliable and scalable engineering infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with software development and engineering teams to improve CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, system reliability, observability, and automation. You will have the opportunity to work across cloud, infrastructure, deployment automation, and production operations.
What You’ll Do
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
- Manage and improve cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Monitor production systems, investigate alerts, and troubleshoot reliability issues.
- Collaborate with software engineers to resolve deployment, infrastructure, and performance issues.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python, Bash, or similar scripting.
- Review infrastructure, automation, and deployment-related code.
- Improve system reliability, scalability, performance, and observability.
- Contribute to monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards.
- Support incident response and participate in on-call operations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering efficiency through automation.
What You’ll Bring Must Have
- Strong understanding of Linux systems.
- Basic programming/scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform – AWS preferred.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Good understanding of software deployment and production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience with ArgoCD or other GitOps tools.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Understanding of logging platforms and distributed systems.
- Basic knowledge of security, IAM, secrets management, and cloud security best practices.
