Profit Sharing Birthday Pay Call-in Bonus Safety Shoe and Safety Glasses Reimbursement Tuition Reimbursement Wellness Reimbursement (up to $400 annually) Life Insurance Short- and Long-Term Disability The Recycle Quality Technician will be responsible for inspecting and grading scrap bales of material, conducting resin checks, spot-checking process control documents, evaluating the quality of purchased materials from suppliers, and ensuring the Recycle Department adheres to Quality Management System (QMS) Responsibilities Assess the quality of scrap bales of material to ensure they meet company standards Perform regular resin checks to verify material composition and quality Conduct test on pellets to ensure they meet quality specifications Review and verify process control documents to ensure compliance with established procedures Perform spot checks on production lines to ensure blend accuracy Evaluate the quality of materials purchased from suppliers and provide feedback to ensure they meet company specifications Track supplier performance and fallout rates to identify areas for improvement Ensure the recycling department adheres to the Quality Management System (QMS) by monitoring processes and implementing necessary improvements Accurately document inspection results and maintain detailed records of quality control activities Work closely with production and procurement teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions Perform additional duties as assigned by management QualificationsEducation High School Diploma or GED; additional technical training or certification in quality control or a related field is a plus Experience Previous experience in quality control, preferably in a recycling or manufacturing environment Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications Good communication and teamwork skills Proficiency in using quality control tools and software Essential Functions Regular and Reliable Attendance Reading Writing Visual Acuity Ascend/Descend Stairways and Platforms with Heights of up to 50+ feet Standing for 12 hours Walking Bending Twisting Reaching Pushing Pulling Lifting/Carrying up to 30 pounds (higher weights require a two-person lift) Concentration
