General Role Description
Develop and execute strategies for the solar and energy storage inverter product line, and provide leadership for the assigned portfolio and Product Management team. Own product lifecycle strategy to align product priorities with the Mid-Range Plan, market needs, and business objectives
Role Accountabilities
· Own and lead product lifecycle strategy for assigned products, including concept development, financial business case approval, product development, commercialization, release to sales, sustaining activities, product enhancements, cost reduction, technology refresh, and product retirement or replacement planning
· Lead, develop, and manage assigned Product Managers, Product Specialists, and/or related technical and commercial personnel, including organizational capability building
· Develop and execute 3-5 year product line strategies and translate the Mid-Range Plan into prioritized 1-2 year product roadmaps, investment recommendations, and execution plans
· Assess markets, primary potential clients, competitors, and existing and potential differentiation of Company's products, and recommend competitive options
· Solicit and evaluate input regarding potential new and enhanced products and solutions from Business Unit (BU) team members, clients, Sales, Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders, and incorporate where appropriate to expand the Company's brand into new markets, businesses, and industries
· Monitor sales, margins, market share, quality, reliability, client satisfaction, and competitive position for assigned products; report significant changes and incorporate findings into strategic planning and product decisions
· Identify, evaluate, and lead opportunities to expand assigned product offerings into larger integrated systems, including potential use and integration with partner products
· Serve as the senior product authority and primary conduit and filter for new product ideas, requirements, priorities, and lifecycle decisions for assigned products
· Develop thorough product requirement documents for product and system development and ensure requirements reflect market needs, client value, profitability, quality, reliability, and technical feasibility
· Prioritize new and sustaining development projects and lead alignment with development teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specifications
· Lead complex or high-impact product development initiatives and cross-functional issue resolution, escalating risks and recommending trade-offs to BU and Company management as appropriate
· Ensure effective transition of products from development to commercialization and from commercialization to sustaining support, with clear ownership, communication, and accountability throughout the lifecycle
· Create and maintain release to sales processes and readiness criteria for new and sustaining product developments
· Provide technical, commercial, and strategic consulting, coaching, training, and mentoring to Product Managers, Product Specialists, Business Development, Sales, and Sales Application Engineering teams
· Create and update documentation for sales presentations and Sales Application Engineering, consistent with branding guidelines as defined by the Global Marketing team
· Create and maintain sales and marketing collateral, experience lists, and installed base listings for assigned products
· Develop and sustain productive relationships with clients, suppliers, partner organizations, the Company, and parent company contacts to support growth and facilitate timely resolution of issues and requests for assistance
· Lead cross-functional collaboration among Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Company leadership for assigned product strategies and initiatives
· Report results to BU and Company management, including research, analysis, evaluation, business cases, lifecycle recommendations, risks, and corrective actions, as assigned
· Provide timely communication of product development plans, priorities, risks, decisions, and schedules to appropriate BU and Development teams
· Continuously improve the quality and delivery cycle of power flow models used in system studies in collaboration with Engineering
· Proactively and positively promote and exemplify the Company brand to internal and external contacts and the general public

- · Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline; related physical or applied science; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- · 7 years of product management, technical sales, application engineering, design engineering, or related experience involving power conversion, photovoltaic, energy storage, or utility-scale power generation systems
- · Demonstrated experience managing products through multiple phases of the product lifecycle, including introduction, growth, enhancement, sustaining support, and end-of-life planning
- · Demonstrated success leading complex new product development activities and cross-functional teams with significant business, technical, schedule, or resource impact
- · Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, or developing Product Managers, technical professionals, or other assigned personnel
- · Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate long-range product strategies and to translate the Mid-Range Plan into actionable priorities and resource recommendations
- · Demonstrated ability to balance client requirements, profitability, technology evolution, quality, reliability, resource allocation, and competing business priorities in product decisions

Preferred Qualifications
· Advanced degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline; related physical or applied science; and/or MBA
· Demonstrated experience in a Product Management role within TMEIC or a comparable global power-conversion organization
· Demonstrated experience developing financial business cases and investment recommendations for new products, product enhancements, or market expansion
· Demonstrated successful presentations at user conferences, trade shows, and similar events
· Demonstrated experience in utility-scale power generation and/or front-of-the-meter energy storage
· Demonstrated experience with transformers used for inverters, drives, power conversion, and grid interconnection
· Demonstrated experience in commercial and industrial, behind-the-meter energy management
· Familiarity with power flow models including PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, and ASPEN
