Job Description

Purpose of the role

To manage and improve products, and the effective execution of these products.  

Accountabilities

  • Management and improvement of products using agile methodologies to support the monitoring of metrics such as usage, adoption, and customer satisfaction, and to support the development of roadmaps that aim to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of a product.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders including traders, salespeople, risk managers and technology teams to align the product vision and development process.  .
  • Utilisation of market research, analysis of customer feedback and monitoring of industry trends to identify new products, features or enhancements.  .
  • Development and execution of reports and presentations to communicate product updates, features, requirements, acceptance criteria and success stories to relevant stakeholders, including developers.  .
  • Execution of user acceptance testing to validate product concepts, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on design prototypes.  .
  • Development and execution of go-to-market strategies for a smooth launch of new products or features in collaboration with marketing, sales, and customer support teams.  .

Embark on a transformative journey as a "Launch and Integration Product Manager" at Barclays, where you will help spearhead the evolution of our digital product landscape, driving innovation, operational excellence and consistently strong customer outcomes. You will partner across product, technology, operations, risk and business stakeholders to shape high-value digital capabilities, translate strategy into execution, and ensure teams deliver customer and business value with pace, quality and control.

The role sits within the US Consumer Bank, supporting a Product Team in a Tribe. The team is focused on strengthening product ways of working, managing product backlogs, improving PI Planning readiness, and delivering shared services capabilities across APIs, services and tools that support key customer and colleague journeys. As a Senior Product Owner, you will operate as a bridge between strategy and execution, helping align roadmaps, dependencies, delivery priorities and product practice standards across squads.

To be successful in this role as a Launch and Integration Product Manager, you should possess the following skillsets:

  • Lead product ownership across complex Agile delivery environments, including discovery, feature definition, backlog prioritisation, sprint refinement, sprint planning, acceptance of completed work and PI Planning readiness.
  • Translate business strategy and customer needs into outcome-led roadmaps, business cases, measurable product features and clear delivery priorities across multiple squads and stakeholder groups.
  • Bring strong stakeholder management, risk and control awareness, dependency management, communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and delivery teams.

Some other highly valued skills include:

  • Knowledge of APIs, shared services, digital servicing journeys, data analysis and service-oriented product capabilities.
  • Experience using product management practices such as customer journey mapping, story mapping, empathy maps, market research, metrics-led prioritisation and value tracking.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager practices, Jira, Confluence, AI-enabled product tooling and continuous improvement of product standards.
