Job Description: This job is responsible for capturing and refining business or system requirements that may involve a software change. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyzing problems, capturing requirements, creating solutions, solving problems either manually or through software, and providing subject-matter expertise on products to support scope and requirement decisions. Job expectations include collaborating with project stakeholders to analyze and confirm requirements, creating, analyzing, and improving processes and writing user and technical stories.

Position Summary:

Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology's Global Risk Analytics team is searching for a talented, seasoned and highly motivated Business Analyst. Programs focus on building the next generation model development and execution platform including data sourcing. This platform will leverage a host of interesting technologies including Spark and Hadoop and utilize a unique, user-configurable, workflow-driven, model execution approach. Programs include data sourcing as well migration of models away from existing platforms to the target platform. This is a multiyear effort in a business critical domain. Global Risk Analytics (GRA) is responsible for developing analytics to support risk modeling activities across all lines of business at the Bank. Uses include CCAR, CECL, IFRS 9 and other regulatory and management reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Understands stakeholder needs to help envision and create a solution to solve a problem
  • Supports cost and benefit analysis to align technology solutions to business strategy
  • Gathers and catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests
  • Identifies the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications and assists with identifying integration points and the end-to-end solution design
  • Assists users and development teams in application testing and troubleshooting, and may help with test planning and configuring test solutions to validate functional and system needs
  • Documents processes, procedures and workflows for technology as needed
  • Identify opportunities for automation and to use AI to improve  business and technology processes

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years minimum experience in system analysis with strong planning, execution, and reporting expertise 
  • Experienced in Agile delivery, translating complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of services, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python
  • Exposure to wireframe tools
  • Understanding of UX concepts
  • Good communication
  • Object oriented language concepts

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters in Computers/Data Science or related technical field 
  • Toolsets - Atlassian suite, JIRA
  • Domain preferably in risk 
  • Experience in synthesizing complex data into actionable analysis and presentations to non technical partners
  • Project Management tools expertise
  • Proficient in Excel, word and power point

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$89,000.00 - $151,800.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
