Make every drop of your potential count!

We're looking for a mid-weight level UX/UI Product Designer to join our small in-house design team at TIDE Services. You'll design accessible, high-quality digital experiences for the family of brands across TIDE and the wider Anglian Water Group

You'll work end to end. Discovery, stakeholder interviews and journey mapping at the start, then wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity interface design and a clean handover to developers. You'll surface assumptions early, ask the awkward questions, and turn what you learn into designs that work for users and for the business.

It's a hands-on role for a designer who pairs strong UX thinking with real visual craft. One week you might be shaping a product flow, the next a campaign page or a shared component in a design system used across several brands. Across all of it, you'll help raise the bar for accessibility, consistency and the quality of the outcomes that are shipped.

What you'll be doing:

  • Contribute to discovery and research activities, including stakeholder interviews, journey mapping and usability testing
  • Translate insight into user flows, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes and high-fidelity interface designs
  • Design accessible and responsive experiences that meet WCAG 2.1 AA or higher
  • Present design decisions clearly to delivery teams and stakeholders, linking recommendations to user and business needs
  • Work fluently in Figma using components, variables, modes, prototyping and well-structured design files
  • Contribute to and maintain shared user interface kits and design systems across multiple brands
  • Prepare clear, annotated handovers and support developers through design quality assurance during build
  • Take ownership of the quality of the final delivered experience, not only the design file
  • Occasionally support brand and marketing and other internal teams with design, presentation and print assets.
  • Help maintain visual consistency across digital products and wider brand touchpoints
  • Where appropriate, implement approved design changes in Webflow using agreed designs and component patterns. Webflow is a desirable skill but not essential. Training will be provided.
  • Use artificial intelligence tools responsibly to support research, ideation, prototyping and accessibility checks
  • Share techniques, learnings and reusable patterns while contributing ideas that improve team processes and craft

What we're looking for

  • Proven commercial UX/UI design experience, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product and/or web design
  • Strong graphic design skills, visual judgement and attention to detail
  • Experience creating wireframes, user flows, storyboards, prototypes and high-fidelity designs
  • Strong Figma proficiency, including components, variables, modes and prototyping
  • Working knowledge of design systems and the discipline required to maintain consistency and quality
  • Experience designing accessible, responsive interfaces to recognised standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA or above
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to take a brief forward with minimal direction while identifying assumptions, dependencies and risks early
  • Collaborative, organised and reliable approach, with pride in the quality of design files, documentation and handover
  • Curiosity about users, business goals, emerging tools and how design practice continues to evolve

Desirable:

  • Degree, HND or equivalent experience in design, digital or a related discipline
  • Experience working in a multi-brand or in-house design team
  • Experience using Webflow to implement approved designs (Not essential)
  • Practical experience using artificial intelligence tools to support research, design and delivery
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript sufficient to collaborate effectively with developers
  • Awareness of search and answer engine optimisation, performance and analytics fundamentals as they relate to design

Interview Process

The application journey has 2 key stages

  • 30-minute call
  • Successful candidates at stage 1 will be invited to a 1-hour craft interview in person, where you’ll present a key case study and your portfolio to the Lead Designer plus another member of our team.

Why join Tide Services (In partnership with Anglian Water)?

At TIDE Services, design shapes products, supports brands and improves digital experiences for customers and colleagues across the Anglian Water Group. You'll join a small team where your work will be visible, valued and connected to genuine user and commercial outcomes.

You'll build experience across product, platform, web, marketing and brand design while working closely with developers, product owners, content specialists and senior stakeholders. You'll also have opportunities to deepen your capability in accessibility, design systems, Webflow and responsible AI-assisted design.

This is an opportunity to strengthen your portfolio, develop your craft and help deliver consistently high-quality digital experiences across a varied family of brands.

Benefits

  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with length of service)
  • Flexible working options
  • Private health care
  • Competitive pension scheme - Anglian Water double-matches contributions up to 7%
  • Life assurance at eight times your salary
  • Annual bonus
  • Personal medical assessments

  • Financial wellbeing support and salary finance benefits
  • Lifestyle savings including discounts on retail, travel and utilities
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Volunteer days
