We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a global digital health product environment focused on improving clinical trial experiences for patients, healthcare professionals, and regulators. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who can contribute hands-on, quickly understand complex product domains, collaborate effectively with distributed teams, and help maintain high engineering quality in a regulated healthcare technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend and full-stack solutions in a modern product engineering environment. 

• Build and extend backend-for-frontend services and configuration layers.

• Develop and maintain REST APIs and support integration between services and product components. 

• Work with database modelling.

• Contribute to microservice-based architecture and event-driven solutions, including technologies such as Kafka. 

• Support development, deployment, and maintenance of services running in cloud/containerized environments such as Kubernetes. 

• Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly as part of the development process, ensuring AI-generated output is reviewed, tested, and owned with the same rigor as hand-written code. 

 

Required Experience & Qualifications 

• 5+ years of experience with Java development and enterprise-level applications
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Java, or similar modern programming languages. 

• Solid experience with backend development and full-stack engineering. 

• Good understanding of microservices architecture and integration patterns. 

• Strong database modelling skills; experience with MongoDB or other document databases is highly valuable. 

• Experience working with complex systems, large codebases, and evolving product environments. 

• Good understanding of automated testing and quality-focused engineering practices. 

• Ability to contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, feature refinement, and solution design. 

• Strong ownership mindset with attention to code quality, maintainability, and long-term product sustainability. 

A significant advantage would be    

• Hands-on experience with NodeJS, Express, REST APIs, and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming technologies. 

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized application environments. 

• Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
