We are looking for a Backend Engineer.

Your daily task:

• Develop the Java Backend part of the Webtoon services

• Participating in code reviews and architecture design

• Proactive, can-do attitude and strong commitment

Your background:

• 5+ years of work experience on Backend systems with Java applications to serve large-scale and high-traffic projects.

• Have +3 years of experience in Java Spring-Framework

• Experience or strong knowledge of MSA and k8s

• Experience or strong knowledge of one of the databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, ...

• Have experience in a message queue like Kafka

• Understanding & experience in Data structure, Algorithm, Distributed Service, OOP

• Open-minded, honest, and have a positive attitude towards people

• Good at communication skills in general and English skills in particular

It's a big plus if you:

• Have experience in DevOps and CI/CD

• Have experience in ELK-stack

• Have experience with distributed systems (e.g., HBase, Vitese, etc.)

• Have experience in Server Architecture Design for handling massive traffic

• Proficiency in the Korean language is preferred
