The impact you’ll make

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Product Support Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on supporting and maintaining Equipment Intelligence (EI) applications deployed on Linux servers at semiconductor fabrication (fab) customer sites. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical acumen with excellent customer service skills to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

Equipment Intelligence Applications:

Deploy and support EI applications on Linux-based servers. Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts to ensure uptime and data integrity. Work with internal software teams to resolve bugs and implement patches.

Customer Interaction:

Serve as the primary technical contact for customers on-site. Provide training, documentation, and hands-on support to customer personnel. Communicate effectively to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction.

Domestic and International travel is required based on business need. Currently it requires a minimum of 35% travel.

Who we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment support.

Proficiency with Linux systems, including command-line tools, scripting, and server management.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to travel and work in cleanroom environments.

English speaking

Preferred qualifications

Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.

Familiarity with semiconductor fab operations and safety protocols.

Knowledge of networking and remote system access tools (SSH, VPN, etc.).

Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and documentation.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
