Full description

We’re looking for a Game Developer Intern with hands-on Unity experience who wants to grow with our team and contribute to mobile game development.

This is a paid internship from day one. You’ll receive mentorship, contribute to real projects, and have the opportunity to build a longer-term career with Hiroba Games.

You should already be comfortable building basic gameplay in Unity using C#. Professional experience isn’t required—coursework, personal projects, and game jams are all valuable ways to demonstrate your skills. Unreal Engine experience is a strong plus, but not a requirement.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and improve gameplay mechanics and features using Unity and C#, with guidance from experienced developers.
  • Collaborate with designers and artists to integrate game assets, animations, and UI into playable experiences.
  • Test gameplay, investigate bugs, and help resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to game polish, controls, and player interactions.
  • Write readable, maintainable code and learn to use version control within a team.
  • Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and development planning.

What We’re Looking For

  • A final-year undergraduate student from any major who is interested in a long-term opportunity.
  • Hands-on experience with Unity and the ability to build basic gameplay features using C#.
  • Familiarity with Unity fundamentals, including scenes, GameObjects, components, prefabs, and the Inspector.
  • A basic understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • A strong interest in games and curiosity about how they are built.
  • A thoughtful approach to problem-solving and a willingness to ask questions and learn from feedback.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good command of English.
  • Availability to work on-site in Ankara at least 2 days per week.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Unreal Engine and Blueprints and/or C++ is a strong advantage, though it is not required.
  • A playable project, prototype, or game jam submission you can share.
  • Basic familiarity with Git or another version control system.
  • Experience with Unity UI, animations, or physics.
  • Experience building and testing games on mobile devices.

How the Opportunity Can Grow

  • Paid internship from day one: Start with a paid, long-term internship while learning from the team and contributing to ongoing projects.
  • Potential paid part-time role while studying: Following the initial internship period, we may offer a part-time position based on performance and mutual fit. This transition is optional and will be discussed around your preferences and academic schedule.
  • A path toward full-time employment after graduation: Our aim is to welcome successful interns into full-time developer roles, based on mutual interest and team needs.

The timing of each stage will be discussed together, taking your availability and graduation date into account.

What You’ll Gain

  • Compensation throughout your internship.
  • Mentorship and practical feedback from experienced game developers.
  • Hands-on experience contributing to commercial mobile games.
  • Experience working closely with developers, designers, and artists.
  • An opportunity to grow into a longer-term role with the team.

Please include any relevant Unity projects in your application—a GitHub repository, gameplay video, or playable build is welcome. Your project doesn’t need to be finished or published; we’d like to understand what you built and your contribution.
