Position Summary

The Landscape Construction Project Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving commercial and large-scale residential landscape installation projects from initial bid handoff through pre-construction, field execution, and final customer sign-off. Acting as the operational bridge between office management and field operations, this position is directly responsible for translating design vision and site plans into high-quality, profitable realities.

In this role, you will lead cross-functional alignment by partnering closely with Estimating and Coordination teams during early-stage takeoffs to verify scopes, optimize site logistics, and establish realistic project baselines. You will directly manage crew schedules, equipment allocation, subcontractor performance, and material workflows across active job sites to maintain tight production timelines. Beyond daily site leadership, you serve as the chief communicator for key stakeholders fostering strong relationships with general contractors, developers, property owners, and internal teams while upholding rigorous standards for job-site safety, budget adherence, and craft execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce strict OSHA compliance and company safety protocols across all job sites through regular audits, daily toolbox talks, and proactive hazard mitigation
  • Oversee detailed scheduling of installation crews and field personnel to maintain optimal productivity and project timelines across all active job sites
  • Collaborate closely with the Estimating and Coordination teams to perform thorough material and labor takeoffs on all new jobs prior to project kickoff
  • Review construction drawings, submittals, and scopes of work. Develop project schedules, manage resource allocation, and coordinate material deliveries and equipment setup
  • Monitor job costs, manage project budgets, approve purchase orders, and draft/process change orders in a timely manner
  • Direct and mentor field superintendents, installation crews, and coordinate with sub-contractors
  • Lead job-site progress meetings, provide regular updates to general contractors and owners, and manage customer expectations throughout the build
  • Conduct walkthroughs, manage punch lists, ensure strict adherence to design specifications, and complete final project handoffs

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of dedicated project management experience in commercial landscape construction, hardscapes, grading, and site development
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, civil plans, and irrigation/hardscape specs. Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software
  • Proven track record of managing crews, scheduling multi-phase projects, and driving accountability in the field
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required. OSHA certifications preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable
