This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving project execution, financial performance, client satisfaction, and field coordination. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of successfully delivering commercial construction projects on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and cost forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and ongoing coordination to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders to keep projects moving forward.
  • Partner with field superintendents to resolve construction challenges and maintain project milestones.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project financial performance, prepare cost reports, and proactively identify risks that could impact profitability.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate project status with internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all work complies with contract documents, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Drive successful project turnover, punch list completion, and final closeout documentation.
  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor.
  • Proven experience delivering projects from preconstruction through closeout with direct project ownership.
  • Experience managing commercial, corporate, healthcare, institutional, or multifamily construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and cost control.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Commercial general contractor experience is required; residential-only project management experience will not be sufficient.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.

Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.
