Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Java Full Stack Developers to join a technology team supporting JPMorgan Chase. The ideal candidates will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, AWS, and modern full-stack development, along with practical experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality.

The selected candidates will work in an Agile environment, contributing to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of secure, scalable, cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices for distributed applications.
  • Develop event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and consumer groups.
  • Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS services.
  • Contribute to both backend and frontend development as part of a Full Stack Engineering team.
  • Integrate applications with databases, external services, and enterprise APIs.
  • Implement secure, reliable, and high-performance application solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Validate AI-generated code for quality, security, performance, and correctness.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, developers, QA engineers, and other technology teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java / J2EE.
  • Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
  • Proven experience developing REST APIs and Microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka / Event Streaming.
  • Strong experience with AWS Cloud and cloud-native application development.
  • Full Stack development experience with modern frontend technologies such as React or Angular.
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile, testing, and production support.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development/coding tools.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Banking / Financial Services domain.
  • Experience with AWS services such as EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, IAM, API Gateway, RDS/Aurora.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit / Mockito.
  • Experience with observability, logging, monitoring, and application resiliency.
  • Experience working with enterprise-scale applications and highly regulated environments.

Candidate Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only
  • Must be available to work in New York, NY or Columbus, OH as required by the project.
  • Must be willing to work on a W2 basis.
  • Contract duration: 12–18 months, with potential for Right-to-Hire.
