Senior IT Project Manager – Finance

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager – Finance to lead multiple cross-functional technology projects supporting finance organizations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing 3–5 concurrent projects, with ownership of scope, budget, schedule, resources, risks, vendors, and delivery.
This role requires strong knowledge of finance processes and technology, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive projects from planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage 3–5 concurrent IT projects from planning through completion.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and milestones.
- Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and ROI analysis.
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate internal and external resources.
- Manage scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Manage relationships with finance, IT, business stakeholders, senior leadership, and third-party vendors.
- Provide regular project status, risk, budget, and delivery updates to leadership.
- Manage vendor activities, contractual deliverables, and RFI/RFP processes.
- Ensure projects follow established PMO and project lifecycle methodologies.
- Track project metrics, document lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement.
Mandatory Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience and 8+ years of related IT or business experience.
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects with complex dependencies.
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost management.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, systems, and technology.
- Experience with integrations between finance systems and enterprise platforms.
- Strong risk, issue, dependency, and change management experience.
- Expert-level vendor management experience.
- Excellent communication skills with technical, business, and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and appropriately escalate issues.
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading large-scale Finance Technology implementations.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS Financials/Procurement, SAP, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in regulated environments involving SOX, GDPR, or similar requirements.
- Experience managing change and developing contingency plans for critical finance systems.
- CAPM, PMP, or similar project management certification.
- Experience driving process improvement and applying lessons learned.
Work Environment
- Remote position for now; the work arrangement may be subject to change based on business needs.
- Must be available to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours regardless of location.
- Requires a professional home-office setup suitable for extended stationary, camera-on work, including HD webcam, hardwired high-speed internet, and stationary workstation.
ADVANCED CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH AND SPANISH ESSENTIAL (Will be evaluated).

Salary: $80,000 gross
