Some of what you will do:

As a Digital Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of product data management across all Digital channels at Staples Canada. They will work closely with both business and technical teams to build, optimize, and maintain our Product Information Management (PIM) system and its integrations, ensuring accurate, enriched, and scalable product data flows that power a best-in-class customer experience.

This position plays a critical role in enabling a seamless, consistent, and high-quality product catalog for our B2B and B2C digital experiences. The successful candidate will provide product data and PIM expertise, develop a commercially viable product roadmap, and lead initiatives to improve product data quality, governance, and automation across our ecosystem.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to plan, develop, integrate, migrate, and optimize product data processes while supporting the growth of our business and the future-state vision for digital commerce.

Specifically, You Will:

  • Own the product data strategy for all digital channels, ensuring high-quality, complete, and consistent product information across platforms.
  • Create and maintain the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business goals and customer needs.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to improve data governance, taxonomy, enrichment workflows, and automation.
  • Monitor and optimize product data flows, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Writes and prioritizes requirement stories / develops business cases where required.
  • Provides routine and transparent product updates to executive level stakeholders via formal presentations and written communication.

Some of what you need:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent (MBA an asset).
  • Agile certification is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of Product Information Management (PIM) systems, product data governance, and digital commerce ecosystems.
  • Experience with product road-mapping tools, open-source technologies, public/private cloud technologies.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Product Manager or Product Data Manager, ideally supporting a PIM system or product catalog in a B2B/B2C eCommerce environment.
  • 3+ years’ hands-on technical experience with PIM or related data platform.
  • Experience with both Agile and Scrum.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce workflows and customer journey optimization.

Physical demands/working conditions:

  • Office environment – Hybrid, with 4 days onsite in Richmond Hill, subject to the hybrid policy.
  • Travel required, 10% within Canada and USA
