Join Shva as a Network Engineer where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our network security infrastructure.
This position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in network and security protocols.
PLEASE NOTE: This is an outsourced position (contract offered through external partner)
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to security threats.
- Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations and security procedures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer – Mandatory.
- Hands-on Layer 2/3 experience with switches and routers (Cisco) – Mandatory.
- Experience in operating and maintaining Load Balancers (F5 / Alteon) – Mandatory.
- Experience in operating and maintaining Firewalls (CheckPoint, Palo Alto, Fortigate) – Mandatory.
- High proficiency in networking protocols: BGP, EIGRP, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, UDP, GRE, IPSEC.
- Experience in designing and implementing secure communication networks in large-scale enterprises.
- Experience working with Remote Access solutions (IPSEC / IPVPN / METRO).
- Experience in Architecture Characterization and technical writing: HLD / LLD / RFP / RFI / SOW.
- Management and operation of networking and security solutions in GCP cloud environments.
- Proficiency in traffic monitoring and control tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Grafana, Wireshark, traceroute).
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment within diverse technological teams.
- Experience in managing and maintaining SSL/TLS certificates in corporate and client-facing environments – Significant Advantage.
- Experience in scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible) – Significant Advantage.
- Relevant Networking Certifications (CCNP, NSE4-6, CCSA/CCSE, F5-CA, F5-CTS) – Advantage.
