This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Group Product Manager - Commerce based in India.

This is a senior product leadership role responsible for shaping a comprehensive commerce platform across business operations, fulfillment, and finance. You’ll define the multi-quarter product strategy and guide a team of Product Managers across several interconnected product areas. The role covers the full commerce lifecycle, from catalog and pricing through fulfillment, payments, invoicing, and accounting. You’ll combine strategic leadership with strong systems thinking, ensuring that individual product areas operate as one coherent and scalable platform. You’ll also mentor and develop product leaders while establishing a high bar for product quality, execution, and measurable outcomes. Working closely with engineering, design, finance, operations, and senior leadership, you’ll influence company-level priorities and investment decisions. The environment is remote-first, fast-moving, data-driven, and focused on building products that support businesses operating at significant scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Own the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap across Business Operations, Fulfillment Operations, and Finance.
  • Lead, manage, mentor, and hire Product Managers, taking responsibility for their performance, development, and career growth.
  • Own the end-to-end commerce lifecycle, connecting product information, pricing, fulfillment, inventory, payments, checkout, invoicing, and ledger capabilities.
  • Establish platform coherence by creating reusable shared capabilities, contracts, analytics, layouts, and reporting across product areas.
  • Guide the roadmap for product information management, pricing, taxes, channel configuration, loyalty, and analytics.
  • Lead fulfillment initiatives spanning fulfillment operations, inventory, warehousing, time-clocking, and metering.
  • Oversee the payments, checkout, invoicing, and ledger/accounting roadmap, with a focus on secure transactions and accurate financial records across external systems.
  • Define and monitor outcomes and metrics such as GMV, transaction success, merchant adoption, reliability, and other business and customer indicators.
  • Partner with engineering, design, finance, operations, and senior leadership to align strategy, resources, priorities, and trade-offs.
  • Balance near-term delivery commitments with long-term investment in scalable platform foundations.
  • Establish effective product operating rhythms, including discovery, prioritization, specifications, launches, reviews, and performance tracking.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, strong product craft, accountability, and outcome-focused execution.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience, including at least 2 years directly managing Product Managers and 10+ years of overall professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading product across a large, multi-team environment, ideally within commerce, payments, fintech, SaaS, or platform products.
  • Proven success hiring, developing, mentoring, and retaining high-performing Product Managers.
  • Strong understanding of transaction-heavy platforms and the relationships between pricing, fulfillment, payments, invoicing, accounting, and financial systems.
  • Experience setting strategy across multiple product areas while maintaining disciplined execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong platform and systems thinking, with the ability to design for coherence, reuse, scalability, and shared capabilities rather than isolated solutions.
  • Ability to use data to prioritize complex portfolios, make informed trade-offs, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong customer orientation, with an ability to balance customer needs, commercial objectives, operational considerations, risk, and trust.
  • Experience collaborating with senior engineering, design, business, finance, and operations stakeholders to secure resources and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience owning a commerce or payments platform end-to-end, particularly across the catalog-to-cash lifecycle, is a strong advantage.
  • Experience operating at significant scale with measurable impact on growth, reliability, customer adoption, or team development is a plus.
